End of August, representatives of the Revival of Kurd’s Heritage Organisation (RKHO), based in Sulaimaniyya, Kurdistan/Iraq, have visited the Foundation’s Head Office. Mr. Erfan Othman Ahmed, President, Mr. Mohammed Mahmoud Rasoul, Program Manager and Mr. Koran Abdullah Abdulrahman, Heritage Officer, met the team of the Patrimonies Funding Initiae for endangered cultural heritage, and informed them about the progress of the projects funded by the Foundation. They also presented a letter of recognition to the team and went to see the grave of the Founder Ms. Lisa Maskell where they laid down some flowers.

Since 2018, the Gerda Henkel Foundation has been supporting the NGO which works to preserve Kurdish cultural heritage. RKHO also cooperates with the Archaeological Museum in Sulaimaniya for example for digitising its catalogue. With the help of the Foundation, RKHO is also setting up a workshop for paper restauration in the museum.
